Welcome to this temporary site for Tank Wars.

Tank Wars is a top down 2D shooter with a fast and frenzied gameplay and pseudo 3D effects.

As this is an early alpha version it's by no means representative of the real product and shall only be seen as a tech preview.

Features:
The final version of Tank Wars will initially include:

• 8 different weapons (rockets, flamer, shockwave, NUKE etc.)
• 4 different powerups (shield, turbo etc.)
• 3-5 different levels (rock, sand, ice etc.)
• Sweet bitmap gfx (like in the old Amiga days, only with 3D effects)
• Multiplayer over internet or LAN for up to 8 players (maybe even more)
• 2 player deatmatch on the same computer (yes, you heard correct. On the SAME computer, wicked!)

Requirements:
The system requirements are not yet set but we currently run our alphabuild on a P4 3.Ghz machine with 1 GB of RAM and an ATI X800XTPE gfx card.
It will without a doubt run on computers much, much slower than that we just haven't testet it yet, so all you guys out there who still runs a Pentium II fear not :0D
